United States Defeats Bolivia 4-0, Extends Winning Streak

Christian Pulisic Scores First International Goal

The United States men's national soccer team continued their winning ways on Saturday, defeating Bolivia 4-0 in a friendly match at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Gyasi Zardes scored twice for the United States, while 17-year-old Christian Pulisic added his first international goal. Kellyn Acosta also scored for the United States.

Zardes Leads the Way

Zardes opened the scoring in the 12th minute, heading home a cross from Pulisic. He added his second goal in the 50th minute, finishing off a nice passing sequence involving Pulisic and Clint Dempsey. Zardes has now scored five goals in his last four appearances for the United States.

Pulisic Makes History

Pulisic, who became the youngest player to start a match for the United States since Freddy Adu in 2006, made his mark on the match in the 21st minute. He received a pass from Zardes on the left wing, dribbled into the box, and fired a shot into the bottom corner of the net. It was Pulisic's first goal for the United States, and he became the youngest player to score for the United States since Jozy Altidore in 2007.

Acosta Adds Insurance

Acosta put the game away for the United States in the 70th minute, scoring from close range after a scramble in the box. It was Acosta's first goal for the United States.

United States Continue to Impress

The United States have now won four consecutive matches, and they have not allowed a goal in those four matches. The team is looking strong heading into the Copa America, which begins on June 3. The United States will open their Copa America campaign against Colombia on June 3.
